Registrations for the 2008 season are in full swing. We are looking forward to another successful year. Background checks are mandatory in 2008 for all coaches, managers and anyone with direct contact with Junior Olympic players. Background checks are being done through C.I.S./SoCal ASA.  There are many reputable companies offering background checks but in order of uniformity, Southern California will only accept background checks through C.I.S.  Background checks are done through VTD. The cost is $4.00, insurance is $6.00 for a total cost of $10.00 per coach/manager.  Once you have entered your information, an invoice is generated.  You will then send the invoice, along with the release form(s) to the Moorpark address.  All information is kept strictly confidential and reviewed by SoCal ASA.  Once your invoice is approved, every individual will receive a card that shows they have been background checked and insured. Should an individual’s background check come back with an area of concern, the individual will be notified as will the President of the league. .
